True, by Fall/winter 2016 when Greenland and Pascal launch, we shoud have a better idea of DX12 performance. Hopefully if the 980 and 970 do continue to, uhh, suck at dx12 then Nvidia will respond by lowering prices (esp on the 980), but seeing as I doubt many dx12 games will be out even by the time Pascal/Greenland reaches us, I would assume the non-gm200 maxwell cards just are going to see quick obsolescence. Again, I would like to see how much of a difference if any full overclocking inc memory makes in the hierarchy, but seeing as I am 100% certain that after OC on both the 980ti would still be (assuming current numbers in these games stand till release, major assumption here) better (on dx games with little async) given the poor (understatement of the year) OC on Fiji, I guess I really can't complain too much.īut hey, I guess we get to wait and see what happens right? Oops mb, techreport? the AotS benchmarkingĪt least below GM200 and Fiji for sure.
